About Me
I have worked as a Web Application Developer for years.
I got my start in Web Development while I was playing in my band, SpaceWaster. We were gigging professionally, traveling the country and trying to establish a prescence on social media.
At one point we figured that it would be great to have an official website so we could have all of our content tied to a single link that could fit on a sticker or a business card. Being an independent band that took pride in our DIY ethos, I decided to take charge of building and deploying the website.
After about 6 months of learning HTML, CSS, Wordpress and a bit of PHP I had a Wordpress site that I built from my own custom theme. I decided to continue to teach myself and pick up some freelance work on the side.
In 2018 I attended UPenn's Web Development Bootcamp where I learned the basics of RESTful APIs, databases, and javascript web frameworks. That same year I started as a Tier 2 Technical Assistant at Greenphire
Within 3 years I worked my way up to a full fledged Application Developer on a feature team where I continue to build and maintain APIs in a microservice dirven architecture using the Django framework
On my free time I enjoy hiking, board games, dungeons and dragons, playing guitar, bass and mandolin, and bike riding. I love traveling and have been to 43 of all 50 states.
